Post Graduate Diploma in English for communication (PGDEC)

1. Eligibility for admission : Any Bachelor’s Degree of the University of Kerala, or any other recognised by the University of Kerala. The selection for the programme will be based on an entrance test to be conducted by the University.

Students who have completed the Post Graduate Diploma in English for communication (PGDEC) course and the Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in English for Communication (APGDEC) course at the Institute cannot apply again for this course.

2. Duration : The programme will be of one year duration (Two Semesters)

3. Course of Study : The course work for the P.G. Diploma Programme in Communicative English shall be in accordance with the scheme of examination and syllabi prescribed.

4. Eligibility for the Post Graduate Diploma in English for Communication : No candidate is eligible for the Post Graduate Diploma in English for Communicative unless he/she has undergone the prescribed Course of study in the Department for one Academic Year and has passed all the prescribed examinations.

5. Attendance : 75% attendance is compulsory to appear for the end semester examinations.

6. Examinations : There will be a University Examination at the end of the Programme in the subjects as prescribed under the Scheme of Evaluation.

7. Pass minimum : A Candidate who secures not less than 40% aggregate marks and 40% separate minimum both in internal and external assesment shall be declared to have passed the examination.
